Soprano Wendy Woodland is a cross over singer who has a career of musical diversity. A graduate of Memorial University’s School of Music, she has appeared throughout the province as soprano soloist, actress, conductor, adjudicator and television personality. Wendy has collaborated with many of the province’s recognized artists and performed with Opera on the Avalon, Stephenville Festival, Theatre Newfoundland and Labrador, Gros Morne Theatre Festival, Stage West Theatre Festival, Wintertide Chamber Music Festival, Bay of Islands Musical Arts and has been with Gros Morne Summer Music since its inception. Summer 2022 has been an interesting one: in June, soprano soloist with the NSO, July, a provincial tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s one-woman musical “Tell Me on a Sunday” and August, appearing again, as Lucy Duhart. It doesn’t get more varied than that and she rises to the challenge each musical genre requires. She is also part of the artistic team of both the Atlantic Boychoir and Atlantic Girls Choir, as rehearsal conductor and soloist.
